| Marie Bedney was a member of the MWBA from 1942 thru 1965. She competed in the National Tournament from 1946 thru 1965. She bowled a 300 game on May 1, 1958. This was the first 300 game bowled by a Minnesota woman. This 300 game enabled her to bowl the high series in her career. She maintained an average of 185 or better for over five years. She was elected MWBA director in 1950 and held this spot until 1956 when she was elected sergeant-at-arms. She served in this position until her death in 1965. She won the MWBA doubles in 1951 and 1954, the singles title in 1957 and 1958. She won the all-events title 100 times. She was the champion on the local TV Bowlerama show several weeks. She was the outstanding bowler in the Owatonna area for more than 20 years and served as the OWBA secretary. She was also league secretary and president for years. Her high game was 300, high series 714. |
